Event #96: $3K PLO 6-Handed was the last chance to win a bracelet in Omaha. It attracted a total of 892 entries, pushing the prize pool to $2,381,640. Although the spotlight was primarily on Erik Seidel as he aimed for his eleventh bracelet, it was Joshua Wang who stole the show.

Wang's final day began in a bizarre fashion as he arrived 30 minutes late to the playing hall. Once seated, he launched an incredible offensive, ultimately responsible for five of the last six eliminations.

In one of the pivotal hands, he eliminated two star opponents, Robert Mizrachi and Christopher Vitch, in a single massive pot, carrying a commanding 6:1 chip lead into the heads-up.

A Heartbreaking End for Erik Seidel

In the final showdown, he faced Erik Seidel, a player with $49 million in tournament earnings, attempting to claim his eleventh bracelet, which would tie him with Phil Ivey for second place in historical wins.

In the decisive hand, Seidel hit a straight with Q h 9 s 7 s 5 c on the flop 4 c 8 c 6 s and went all-in. Wang held top set and a flush draw with Q c 8 h 8 d 6 c. The turn 4 d brought Wang a full house, deciding the winner before the river even came.

“I feel amazing. Playing against the best players in the world was a thrill. I'm very happy to be the last one standing and to win my first bracelet,” said Wang, who admitted that he learned strategies by watching videos of the very legends he defeated today.
