Event #70: $10K PLO Championship boasted 836 entries and a prizepool of $7,774,800. Despite the large turnout, all eyes were on one player.
Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi showcased a performance rarely seen at the WSOP. He led the tournament in start-to-finish style, maintaining his chipleader position at the end of the first, second, and third days of play.
Even though he entered the final day with a commanding lead, holding about 80% of the chips in play, the path to victory took longer than he initially expected. “I thought it would take 44 minutes,” Mizrachi joked after a three-hour final battle, where he faced tenacious resistance from his two opponents.

In the heads-up showdown, Mizrachi faced India's rising star, Zarvan Tumboli. Despite a significant deficit, Tumboli managed to narrow the gap to a 1:2 ratio at one point.
The experienced “The Grinder” didn't allow any drama. In the decisive hand, Mizrachi called his opponent's all-in with a hand of J h T d 7 h 6 s on a flop of 8 s 8 h J s. Although Tumboli came close to doubling his stack with his A s A h 6 d 3 h after the turn 4 c, the river 9 s completed Mizrachi's straight and ended the tournament.
With this triumph, Mizrachi has tied with Johnny Moss and Benny Glaser in the number of bracelets. Ahead of him in the historical ranking are only names like Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Erik Seidel, and Johnny Chan.
This marks Mizrachi's first bracelet in the PLO discipline, which he said he focused on intensely in cash games over the past year. His attention now shifts to defending his Main Event title and pursuing Phil Hellmuth's record.
