Gilles Silbernagel Triumphs, Deeb Struck by Quads Again
Event #3: €565 Colossus became the most attended event of the series so far, attracting a total of 2,662 entries, creating a prize pool of €1,331,000. The standout storyline of the final day was Shaun Deeb's continued pursuit of his ninth gold bracelet.
Deeb battled his way to the final heads-up, but fate dealt him a cruel hand. For the second time within a week, he lost the pivotal hand for the bracelet against quads.
On a board of Q c T s 6 h 6 c 6 s, Deeb held a full house with Q h 3 s, but Frenchman Gilles Silbernagel showed Q d 6 d and ended the tournament with quads. Silbernagel walked away with his first bracelet and €165,000, while Deeb had to settle for second place and €110,000.

Main Event Sets Record, Kabrhel in the Top Ten
Following a strong opening Day 1A (803 entries), the €5,300 WSOPE Main Event continued with Day 1B, which added another 653 registrations. This brings the total entries to a record-breaking 1,456 before the final flight 1C, and the numbers are expected to rise. Another milestone the Main Event is aiming for is the guaranteed prize pool of €10,000,000, which is expected to be surpassed, making this year's Main Event a record-breaker in more ways than one.
Day 1B was dominated by British pro Roberto Romanello, who has fond memories of Prague, having won the EPT Main Event here in 2010, and now he's bagging an impressive 451,000 chips into Day 2.
The field's attention was also drawn to local 'wild card' Martin Kabrhel, whose vocal presence was felt throughout the room. Kabrhel put on a stellar performance and built a stack placing him among the top contenders. Also advancing to the next rounds are defending champion Daniel Pidun, Shaun Deeb, and Josh Arieh.
