Nikolai Ogoltsov Dominates Massive European Circuit Championship Field
The €1,500 European Circuit Championship attracted a huge field of 2,628 entries, creating a prizepool of €3,547,800, more than doubling the original guarantee of €1,500,000. Sixteen players returned for the final day, led by Dutch chipleader Tobias Peters. However, it was Michael Sklenička who eventually eliminated Peters, landing him in fourth place.
The final showdown was closely watched as it marked the last opportunity for a local player to win a bracelet. Nikolai Ogoltsov entered the heads-up against Czech Sklenička with a lead he wouldn't relinquish.
In the decisive hand, Ogoltsov called Sklenička's all-in preflop with a pair of J d J s, against Sklenička's A s 4 s. Ogoltsov hit a set on the turn, sealing his first bracelet victory.

Christian Pedersen Triumphs Over World Elite in GGMillion$ High Roller
The prestigious €8,400 GGMillion$ High Roller culminated in a showdown where Danish newcomer Christian Pedersen surprised seasoned poker names. Pedersen, who has focused on online cash games in recent years, managed to advance through a field of 359 entries to reach the final heads-up against reigning GPI Player of the Year, Punnat Punsri from Thailand.
Despite Punsri, a six-time Triton High Roller Series champion, doubling his stack at the start of heads-up, Pedersen kept his cool. In the final hand, Pedersen won a flip with 3 h 3 d against Punsri's Q c T c, securing his first gold bracelet, €600,000, and a special gold card protector from GGPoker.

The historic first European bracelet event in the PLO Double Board Bomb Pot format saw its champion crowned as American residing in Germany, Richard Geyer. The €1,100 buy-in tournament drew 280 entries and delivered highly dynamic action, with legends like Ari Engel and Benny Glaser vying for the bracelet.
Glaser aimed for his ninth bracelet, but in the three-player finale, he ran into the unstoppable Geyer. In the last hand, Geyer performed a "double knockout," eliminating both Glaser and Mehmet Siginc simultaneously, taking home €60,000. For Richard Geyer, this was his first prestigious WSOP bracelet win.

David Wintersberger Shines in Turbo Festival Finale
The closing event of WSOPE 2026, the €2,750 The Closer Turbo Bounty, attracted 466 entries. A star-studded final day promised a spectacle as World Champion Michael Mizrachi also joined the fray, though he ended in 19th place.
The bracelet eventually went to German player David Wintersberger, who defeated Russia's Arsenii Karmatckii heads-up. In the decisive hand, Wintersberger's 3 h 3 c hand held against Karmatckii's 7 s 6 s, with the board bringing him quads and sealing his victory worth €140,000 plus collected bounty rewards.
Wintersberger capped off a successful German run in Prague, earning the country's fifth series bracelet. For Wintersberger, it marked his premier WSOP title.
