A Wild Cooler Secures the Title for Vitalijs Zavorotnijs at Poker Masters 2026

Event #4: $10,500 NLH registered 80 entries, inflating the prizepool to $800,000 with payouts reserved for the top 12 players.

Adrian Mateos pulled off an unusual statistic by busting directly on the bubble, marking his third bubble finish in four tournaments of the current series.

The final day saw the last five players competing under the leadership of Latvian chipleader Zavorotnijs. Andrew "Lucky Chewy" Lichtenberger was the first to leave the final table, soon followed by British WSOP bracelet holder Jamie Dwan in 4th place, both eliminated by Clemen Deng.

Nick Palma Aimed for a Second Title

Nicholas "Nicky P" Palma, who had taken down the second event of the series, was gunning for his second title in just a few days. However, his journey ended in third place, when his all-in with K s J c ran into Zavorotnijs' full house with 7 s 7 c.

Even though Palma didn't secure a second trophy, earning 104 PGT points catapulted him to the top of the overall Poker Masters leaderboard. With 339 points and total victories worth $339,200 in the series, he holds an ideal position in the race for the Purple Jacket.

Brutal Cooler in Heads-Up

The final heads-up between Zavorotnijs and Clemen Deng ended in a spectacular fashion. With the board showing 4 s Q s J d 4 c 8 c, Deng made a massive all-in move, which Zavorotnijs happily called.

Deng was holding J c 4 d, but Zavorotnijs revealed a higher full house with Q d 4 h. This merciless cooler instantly closed the tournament, sealing the victory for the Latvian player.
