Article cover

The exclusive Super High Roller Bowl XI, with a buy-in of $103,000, has attracted the cream of the crop from the global poker scene. Day 2 began with 12 hopefuls progressing from Day 1. Before the close of late registration at the start of Day 2, five more players took the plunge, bringing the total number of entries to 28. The prizepool reached $2,800,000, with payouts going to the top 5 finishers.

Alex Foxen kicked off Day 2 from the second position but quickly took the chipleader spot in the first level, maintaining it through the day's end. A pivotal moment in his ascent came during a clash with Jason Koon, where Foxen, holding Q h Q c and a flopped set, called Koon's all-in with A d A c, sending him packing.

While Alex dominated the day, his wife ended hers with disappointment. Kristen Foxen was eliminated on the money bubble in 6th place when her A c 8 c couldn't overcome Brandon Wilson's 9 s 9 d, on a board of T c 9 h 5 s 7 d A s. This elimination secured a minimum win of $215,000 for the remaining five players.
