The inaugural one-day tournament at PGT Sprint 2026 with a $5,300 buy-in attracted 92 entries, creating a prize pool of $460,000. Prize money was set aside for the top 14 players, with the unenviable bubble boy spot going to Jim Collopy.
After the bubble burst, notable names exited, including the 2015 WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen (12th place), David Coleman (11th place), and Brock Wilson (9th place).
The official seven-handed final table played out quickly. John Riordan was the first to go in 7th place, followed by Jesse Lonis, Neil Warren, and Michael Berk. British pro Patrick Leonard took the bronze spot.
In the final heads-up, Rheem faced off against Andrew Lichtenberger. The pivotal moment occurred on a board of Q h 8 c 6 d 8 d J d, where Lichtenberger made a massive bluff holding 9 c 5 c. Rheem called with T s T h, leaving his opponent on a desperate short stack.
In the very next hand, Lichtenberger went all-in with 6 c 5 d, and Rheem called blind with 7 c 2 h. The board A h 9 h 8 s 4 c Q h hit neither player, and Rheem’s sevens clinched the title.
