Among the participants were renowned poker names like Joe McKeehen, Darren Elias, and Jonathan Tamayo, who, however, fell short of the money positions.
When the tournament was down to its final three players, a 3-way ICM deal was struck. The largest portion of the agreed sum went to Drew O'Connell, the chipleader at the time. Yet, in the playoff for the trophy and an additional $19,960, David Stefanski reigned supreme.
In the final heads-up, Stefanski defeated Michael Wang, who went all-in with Q c 8 d, while Stefanski called with 8 s 8 c. The board J c T h 8 h 3 c A c offered no help for Wang, crowning Stefanski champion.
With this triumph, Stefanski officially surpassed the $3 million mark in total live tournament winnings and redeemed himself after a runner-up finish in the opening $2,200 Big, Big Kick Off.
Michael Wang continues to showcase stellar consistency throughout the festival, adding this result to his 9th place in the Kick Off and 3rd place in the $2,200 Mystery Bounty, securing his third final table appearance within a week.
