Article cover

Event #2: $5,300 NLH drew a total of 79 entries to the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, slightly down from the opening event. The prize pool swelled to $395,000, shared among the top 12 players.

The final table was long dominated by Martin Zamani, while Wilson patiently held on with a shorter stack. Entering the final heads-up, Zamani had a strong 6:1 lead. However, Wilson orchestrated a remarkable turnaround, first doubling up twice and then taking the lead.

In the tournament's pivotal hand, Zamani went all-in with A s 3 s, which Wilson quickly called with the dominant A c K s. The board K c 9 h 8 c T h Q d confirmed his victory, with the result already decided by the turn. Zamani took home $71,100 for second place but recorded his first heads-up live tournament loss.

For Wilson, this marks his fifth title in the current PGT season. He also gained 166 PGT points, moving him up to an impressive second place in the PGT Player of the Year leaderboard, though he still trails leader Sean Winter by nearly 300 points.
