The seventh four-card event of the series, with a $15,700 buy-in, attracted 65 entries. The total prizepool reached $975,000, shared among the top 10 players.
Seven finalists entered the final day led by massive chipleader Joni Jouhkimainen. Action kicked off immediately on the final table, with Jouhkimainen flopping a nut flush to send Nick Palma home in 7th place. The Finnish player handled three more eliminations, but Jonas Kronwitter staged a remarkable comeback among the final three players.
Kronwitter doubled through the then-leader and later eliminated Druckman in 3rd place. Entering the heads-up match, Kronwitter had a massive lead, nearly 3:1, against Joni Jouhkimainen.
The players quickly agreed on an ICM deal, awarding Finn Joni Jouhkimainen $215,062, while Jonas Kronwitter, as the official winner, claimed $267,563, solidifying his position as the series leader.
Kronwitter now boasts two PGT titles, both won during this series. Just two days prior, he claimed victory in Event #5: $10K PLO, adding another $201,000 to his earnings.
