Andrew Han's Lifetime Triumph

The KPC Main Event, with a 1,300,000 KRW (~$970) buy-in, attracted a total of 747 entries over five starting flights. Although the guaranteed prize pool of 880,000,000 KRW (~$655,740) narrowly held, players were in for attractive rewards.

The final day lasted a full 12 hours. The initial final table chipleader, Germany's Fabian Gumz, held a massive lead among the last three players but ultimately finished in third place. The concluding heads-up featured Australian Andrew Han and American Yifu He with nearly equal stacks.

After two hours of relentless chip exchange, a decisive hand changed it all. Yifu He went all-in with K-10, and Han called with K-8. A flop with an eight gave Han a pair, enough to secure the title and the biggest win of his career.

Khoa Anh Ngo Dominates Starry Finale

The most expensive event so far was the KPC Super High Roller with a buy-in of 7,000,000 KRW (~$5,200). The event saw a total of 57 entries, creating a prize pool of 352,198,000 KRW (~$262,440), which was shared among the top 9 players.

The final table promised high-class poker, featuring the likes of China's top player Tony Ren Lin (8th place) and Romanian pro Alexandru Papazian (6th place). However, the standout performance came from Vietnam's Khoa Anh Ngo, who successively eliminated Junjie Xu (5th place), Ziyu Gao (4th place), and Pratik Mehta (3rd place).

Ngo began the final heads-up with a commanding 6:1 lead over Sweden's Jakob Karlsson. Though Karlsson managed one successful double-up, the decisive hand saw Ngo prevail with an 8-8 against Karlsson's K-Q.
