The €1,500 WSOP Circuit Main Event in Madrid saw 918 entries, creating a prize pool of €1,164,942. The final nine players emerged from Day 2 and will return to Casino Gran Vía on Sunday, November 1st, to crown a champion.
Nacho Barbero started Day 2 as the chip leader, but it wasn't smooth sailing. He dropped below ten blinds and needed a double-up with a straight at the end of the day. He eventually bagged 2,430,000 chips, around 20 BB, making him the short stack at the final table.
In stark contrast, Jay Hoebe holds a commanding lead with 12,260,000 chips and 102 BB. He has nearly double the stack of second-place Cesar Montanes Alonso. The final table also features notable names like Aliaksandr Shylko, Tom-Aksel Bedell, and French poker reporter Fausto Munz. Each finalist is guaranteed €14,200, but the main goal remains the title, championship ring, and €207,000 reward.
